Hi I’m John Comeau, aka the Fan Whisperer and these days folks are calling me The Bath Fan Man, because I work exclusively on Replacing and/or Repairing Bathroom Fans. I am an expert at making noisy bath fans quiet—no matter what make or model or how old the fan is.
Through years of hard work I honed in on specializing and helping people with their Bathroom Fan Replacement. I first got into this business by helping a friend in Florida to do some bath fan repairs and discovered that it was more practical to replace the fan itself.
This experience made me think about how many other people had noisy bathroom fans that needed to be replaced and in short, I became a bit obsessed with the whole idea of bathroom exhaust fan replacement. As I explored this problem, I discovered that Bath Fan Replacement is a niche that is too small for most contractors, yet for someone like me it presented a great opportunity.
When I returned to Canada, I did more research and found that anyone who had a fan that was 20 or more years old would be a potential customer. I started to experiment with the process of replacing bathroom fans and got better and better at being able to do just that until I developed a system where I could completely upgrade an old fan with a modern quiet one without doing any renovations.
Over the years I’ve perfected the process to the extent that replacing noisy bathroom fans is the only thing I do. And today my system is not only done without renovations; my fans can be removed for cleaning in just 8 seconds.
I’ve been doing this now since 2009 and I’ve yet to encounter a bathroom fan problem that I can’t fix.
This specialty has truly grown into a passion, and I’m always happy to chat about anything that has to do with Bath Fan Replacement and Bath Fan Repair.

“Recently I purchased a new home and found the bath exhaust to be quite noisy so I called a contractor and they told me I had to upgrade to have a quieter fan! This would cost several hundred dollars because the ceiling would have to be altered! I saw an ad for The Fan Whisperer and had them come to install a new motor and fan wheel in my existing fan housing without having to remove any ceiling! They were only here for a few minutes. I love my new fan!”
